Sex Toys for Lesbians

Most people know I periodically (okay…not so infrequently…try every day) scroll through my news feed to find articles to talk about in my blogs. Well…this one absolutely caught my attention, not only for the title but for where it came from! You can’t make this shit up…yes, Good Housekeeping, that previously wholesome magazine geared toward the 50’s stay-at-home moms, published an article titled: The Best Sex Toys for Lesbians. After catching my breath from laughing so hard, I read the article. Basically, the article was like a review site for fifteen, yes, fifteen different sex toys. The way they chose those top fifteen toys was by speaking to self-identifying queer educators and gender specialists. The toys were chosen for both solo play and couples. They also read reviews from actual users. How they knew if those users were lesbians…no clue! The article not only gave reviews of the fifteen different toys but also provided generic advice on what to look for when shopping for a sex toy and how to clean your sex toy. Each toy had a link to buy (how convenient). Drum roll, please…here are the fifteen suggested toys:

Yummy Sunshine Vibrator – Oh yeah, this one comes in a bright yellow!
Realistic Strap on Dildo and Packer – Not sure this one holds much interest to me with the realistic part because, honestly, a penis doesn’t really have much appeal to me…kind of ugly if you ask me, but to each their own.
Joque Adjustable Harness – Looked sexy on the model!
Compact Suction Vibe – I think this may come in a twin pack because it showed two! Hers and Hers model…or Hers and Them.
Com Massager – Claims to massage both the clitoris and vulva because of its large bulbed head.
Ultra Plus Size Thigh Strap-On – Looks like a knee brace…hmmm…wonder if a person could use a knee brace?
We-Vibe Moxie+ – Remote control vibrating…yeah, that could be fun!
Leather Vampire Gloves – Say what? Basically, soft leather with pokey stubs (their words, not mine).
Le Wand Bow – Stainless Steel and easy to clean.
Touch X Mini Clitoral Vibrator – Oh…it’s so cute and small…fits in the palm of your hand…or, I guess, easily in the pocket of your cargo shorts!
Novice Plug – Yup, you guessed it…a hot pink butt plug.

Callisto Clear Glass Dildo – This one’s so pretty, I could probably store this in my grandmother’s display case, the one where she kept all her Hummels. Also super easy to clean.

I have to admit I haven’t incorporated sex toys into all of my books, but this article has sure given me some food for thought on some new ones. Because…let’s face it, after thirty books, I need new sex scene material.
